Last year was a very crazy year in many ways. The biggest change, of course, was learning to live during the COVID pandemic. Lives, jobs, holidays, travel, sports, breathing, and social distancing were just a few of the things we had to deal with. We spent a lot of time at home and being away from the people and things that we love to do. We all had quite a bit of time to reflect and re-evaluate our lives.
With much regret and anticipation, I have decided that it is time for me to retire from dentistry. I have enjoyed over 34 years of practicing and perfecting my craft. The job and honor of working with my staff and providing high quality care in a safe and comfortable environment has been very rewarding to me. I will now spend time enjoying my other interests, hobbies, family, and visiting with my young granddaughter in California.
I would like to thank all of my patients for allowing me the honor and privilege of serving you. Your trust, confidence, and friendship have always been appreciated. I have enjoyed my time with all of you.
At this time, I would like to introduce the new dentist who will take over my staff and office at the Landing in Renton. Dr. Amritpal Mattu is a distinguished, honors graduate from the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry. She comes from a family of dentistry. I feel that she will provide you with the same excellence, compassion, and quality of care that I have always strived to do.
Dr. Mattu has been practicing dentistry in the Des Moines area, has been involved in research, leadership, and community events. She is affiliated with the American Dental Association, Aademy of General Dentistry, Associate member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and many others. You will be in great hands!
Thank you again for your many years of trust, loyalty, and friendship. I will always remember you all.

As some of you may know, I told my dad when I was 5 years old that I wanted to be a dentist just like him. I spent my entire academic career working toward it, and 20 years later I graduated from dental school. I've spent the past 10+ years working side by side with him at Go Family Dentistry - our second home, with our second family.
The year of 2020 has certainly been stressful and frustrating. For me personally, it has forced me to contemplate what is best for me and my career. After much reflection, I have come to the difficult and unpredicted conclusion that I will not be continuing my career at Go Family Dentistry. I will be working at a practice in Kirkland as an associate.
I cannot stress enough that I did not come to this decision lightly. I recognize that it was expected, even destined, that I would take over Go Family Dentistry when the time came. Believe me, I thought that more than anyone. However, I have discovered that owning a private practice is not for me right now.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
